Last week I joined the approximately 25, 000 tech workers that have been laid off so far in 2024. We are only 26 days into the new year and about 25,000 people don’t have a job. That’s wild right!

I asked Google’s AI Bard to help me with the data because you know I love the facts….

It was all good just a week ago.

Sis, it’s still all good now! 

Friends and family have been asking me how I feel and the first thing that comes  to mind is FREE.

I’m actually super grateful and because my mindset is on growth and expansion and what I do have, I actually don’t feel any lack. 

I didn’t shed one tear, nor did I feel sorry for myself.

At one point on the exact day that I got let go, I did think “ How dare them let me go… ME, do they know who I am. But that didn’t last long!

Then, I immediately was thankful again because I am too big for the job and I am fearfully and wonderfully made for much more.

🙏🏾I am thankful for my severance package 

🙏🏾I am thankful for my high salary that allowed me to have savings and a financial cushion

🙏🏾I am thankful for my skills, my expertise, and my personal brand that I worked really hard for. It’s allowing me the opportunity to take my talents anywhere and everywhere

AND most importantly I am thankful for the push that I needed to go all in on this new journey of soloprenuership. I’ve never actually had the financial freedom, time, clarity, and headspace to go all in on building my business and 100% bet on myself.

Now is the time! It’s my time and it’s my season. 

This chapter of my life is called metamorphosis which goes perfectly with my word for this year which is “refinement”. 

I’m entering my delusion era ( like old Kayne from the Netflix doc delusional).
