A safe space for Black women in tech to flourish and live life in full bloom

Welcome To Friday! ๐Ÿ“†

Happy Friday!

Happy New Month!

Happy Women's History Month!

A lot of happy and a lot of new beginnings.

I hope this new month brings you new possibilities and new opportunities ... and most of all..... OPTIONS.

Wishing you a new month of EASEโ€ฆ..

Womenโ€™s History Month is a time to reflect on the often overlooked or forgotten contributions of women throughout history, but most importantly your own contributions to the world as a woman. As we uplift and bring to light the many accomplishments of our foremothers, here are some non-traditional ideas for how we as women can celebrate and honor the journey throughout the entire month.

๐Ÿ’ซ Get Into A Good Book - Indulge in some inspirational reading. Pick up an inspiring read or join a good book club like WRBR or Amber Grimes a.k.a BurrCardi book club, Amberโ€™s Book Club . Immersing yourself in the words of another great woman is a simple way to toast to their achievements and step into your own.

๐Ÿ’ซ Attend an Empowering Event - Check your local calendar for special online events, workshops, or conferences that embody the spirit of Women's History Month. Topics that promote equality, highlight adversity women have overcome and bring like-minded women together to inspire action make for ideal events to seek out and participate in.

๐Ÿ’ซ Recognize Phenomenal Women Online - Give another woman her flowers online and in real life! Shout out to both history-making women of the past as well as trailblazing ladies of the present day who inspire you and empower you. Dedicate a post or two to a dope woman who paved the way across industries, inventions, athletics, and activism. Tag and celebrate women in your own circles doing phenomenal things today. Celebrate a friend and other women in your group chats that are in your day-to-day life.

๐Ÿ’ซ Learn a New Skill - Level all the way up! Use Women's History Month as motivation to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself. Sign up for an online class, attend a webinar, get a cert, or read books to develop mastery in a subject or hobby youโ€™ve been curious about. HERstory making women strive to be the best version of themselves and are always evolving - follow in those audacious footsteps.

๐Ÿ’ซ Find Your Voice - Make this the month you finally speak your truth, own your narrative, share your gifts by starting that blog youโ€™ve been dreaming up or commit to public speaking by starting that podcast. Use creative mediums like writing, vlogging, or podcasting to develop your voice as you explore topics youโ€™re passionate about. We all have a perspective and ideas worthy of sharing.

๐Ÿ’ซ Pay it Forward Through Mentorship - The lack of women mentors in many fields perpetuates inequality in rising through leadership ranks. Representative still matters! If youโ€™re established in your career, reach out to younger women through formal/informal mentor programs. Guide them with your own lessons learned to unlock their potential. Even small gestures advance the sisterhood.

๐Ÿ’ซ Support Fellow Female Creators - During Womenโ€™s History Month (and beyond of course!) make a conscious effort to buy from and promote female artisans, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and creators whose services you admire. Additionally, donโ€™t hesitate to provide testimonials, reviews, and referrals for women whose services or products have made your everyday life better.

Ladies, letโ€™s keep the momentum going for Womenโ€™s History Month by pushing each other higher through supportive sisterhood.

Onward and upward!

Marching into the new month expecting abundance and overflow. Chasing nothing and attracting everything! ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒท
