The Vibe Check. What This Issue Feels Like

High End Tea - Made by Jeneba
Letter From The Editor
Three things happened in AI this week that most people will miss the point on.
Apple chose Google over OpenAI to power Siri. Healthcare AI became a three-way race overnight. And your Slackbot quietly became an autonomous agent.
The headlines will give you the what.
I'm more interested in the what it means.
This week's issue is about reading the signals behind the announcements. Because the companies making these moves aren't just shipping features , they're placing bets on where AI is headed. And so am I.
Let's get into it.
— Jeneba 👩🏾💻
📰 Executive TL;DR - The Signals That Matter
🫖 Apple + Google = The $1B Signal
What happened: Apple and Google officially confirmed a multi-year partnership. Gemini will power Apple's AI features, including the long-awaited Siri overhaul expected this spring. The deal is reportedly worth around $1 billion annually.
The backstory: Apple evaluated OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google before making this choice. They picked Google.
The signal I'm watching:
This isn't just a vendor selection. It's a statement about where enterprise and consumer AI is consolidating. Let me be clear. Google is winning the AI race!
Apple choosing Gemini tells us:
Integration depth matters more than benchmark performance. Google's ecosystem (search, cloud, Google Suite, Android interoperability) likely won out over raw model capability.
Privacy positioning is table stakes. Apple says it will maintain its privacy standards throughout the partnership, meaning Google had to meet Apple's terms, not the other way around.
The AI wars are becoming infrastructure wars. The question isn't "who has the best model?" It's "who has the best embedded infrastructure?"
OpenAI and Anthropic are building standalone AI products. Google is building AI into everything. Apple just validated that strategy.
They own the whole market as a category of one!
🫖 Anthropic Drops Cowork — Claude That Does, Not Just Answers
What happened: Anthropic released Cowork, a new mode for Claude that lets it read, edit, and take action across any folder on your computer. It can also pair with Claude in Chrome for browser-based tasks.
How it works: In Cowork mode, Claude makes a plan, executes step-by-step, and checks in before taking significant actions. It's essentially Claude Code, but for everyday tasks, not just developers, like managing your Google Calendar.
No, Just me? I think a Chief of Staff task is going to be the first thing I build with it. Stay tuned I’ll drop the play by play of that on Threads and Youtube.
The numbers: Anthropic's release post has racked up 13M+ views. The internet is paying attention.
The signal I'm watching:
This is a category shift, not a feature update.
We've been in the era of "AI that answers." Cowork signals the shift to "AI that acts."
The difference matters:
Answering = You ask a question, AI responds, you do the work
Acting = You define a goal, AI executes across tools, you review the outcome
Cowork is currently available for Claude Max subscribers on macOS. You can join the waitlist. Watch Cowork in action here.
Pretty Minds Food For Thought 🧠: If you're still thinking of AI as a chatbot, you're about to be lapped by people who think of it as a collaborator with agency.
🫖 Healthcare AI Entered The Chat
What happened: Three major AI healthcare plays dropped the week:
OpenAI launched ChatGPT Health — health data syncing from phones and wearables
Anthropic responded with Claude for Healthcare — tools for providers, payers, and patients with connectors to medical databases (CMS Coverage Database, ICD-10, PubMed)
Google released MedGemma 1.5 — an open-source medical AI model capable of interpreting 3D CT scans, MRIs, and histopathology slides (a first for any publicly available model)
The signal I'm watching:
The race for your medical data is officially on.
Here's what each player is betting on:
Company | Bet | Approach |
|---|---|---|
OpenAI | Consumer health companion | Sync your wearables, track your wellness |
Anthropic | Clinical workflow automation | Prior authorizations, documentation, research |
Medical imaging + open source | Democratize diagnostic AI for developers |
Both OpenAI and Anthropic have confirmed that health data synced to their platforms won't be used for model training. Both warn users to consult healthcare professionals for reliable guidance.
Why this matters for everyone:
Anthropic's CPO Mike Krieger said it plainly: "Clinicians often report spending more time on documentation and paperwork than actually seeing patients."
If AI can automate the paperwork, doctors can focus on doctoring. That's the promise. The question is whether it delivers — and who controls the data.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you using AI for medical or wellness reasons?
I know I am. I recently did all my labs, annual checkups, and mammogram. I took all the results and put them into Gemini for a health plan and supplement recommendation to make sure I’m in optimal health all 2026. Here’s the prompt if you wanna do this too:
🩺 TRY IT: "Over-40 Crew" Health Analysis Prompt
With all three major AI companies launching healthcare products, I wanted to give you something practical.
This metaprompt transforms AI into a Functional Medicine Health Strategist. It's designed to help you move from not knowing what your doctors are saying to agency with your own health, because most doctors will tell you everything is fine even when you know you’re falling apart on the inside
Important: This is for informational purposes only. I’m not a medical health professional AI is not your doctor. Use this to prepare better questions for your physician, not to replace professional medical advice.
How to use this:
Copy the prompt below into Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini
Upload or paste your blood work or appointment results at the bottom
Use the output to have a more informed conversation with your healthcare provider
=== THE "OVER-40 VITALITY" HEALTH ANALYSIS ===
**Role:** You are a high-level Functional Medicine Health Strategist and Longevity Expert specializing in female physiology for women aged 40–60. Your goal is to help the user move from "clinically normal" to "biologically optimal."
**Task:** Analyze the provided lab results and create a 2025 Wellness Roadmap.
**Phase 1: Deep Lab Analysis**
For every biomarker provided, categorize it into one of three buckets:
1. **Optimal:** Within the narrow "high-performance" range for longevity
2. **Suboptimal:** Within "normal" clinical ranges but outside the optimal functional range
3. **Critical/Needs Action:** Flagged by the lab or significantly outside of functional health ranges
Use these Functional Targets for Women 40+:
- **Metabolic:** Fasting Insulin (2–5 µIU/mL), HbA1c (4.8%–5.2%), Triglyceride:HDL Ratio (<1.5)
- **Nutrient:** Ferritin (50–100 ng/mL), Vitamin D (50–80 ng/mL), Vitamin B12 (600+ pg/mL)
- **Hormonal/Inflammatory:** TSH (1.0–2.0 mIU/L), hs-CRP (<0.5 mg/dL)
**Phase 2: Pattern Recognition**
Connect the dots. Don't look at markers in isolation.
- If Insulin is high and HDL is low → identify "Metabolic Resistance"
- If Ferritin is low and TSH is high-normal → identify "Hypothyroid/Energy Fatigue"
- If LDL is high but CRP is low → discuss the nuances of "Inflammation vs. Transport"
**Phase 3: The Action Plan**
Create a structured plan:
1. **Supplement Schedule:** Clear list (Morning, Noon, Night) with absorption notes (e.g., "take with fat," "avoid caffeine for 1 hour after")
2. **Wellness Pillars:** Three specific goals (e.g., "Iron & Energy Optimization," "Cardiovascular Resilience," "Metabolic Reset")
3. **Lifestyle Multipliers:** Specific diet tweaks (e.g., "increase fiber to 35g") or exercise recommendations (e.g., "prioritize resistance training 3x/week") based on these labs
4. **"Ask Your Doctor" List:** High-level questions to take to your physician to advocate for specific treatments or further testing
**Constraint:** Do not give generic advice. If a marker isn't provided, don't guess — tell the user why that specific marker would have been helpful to see.
---
[PASTE YOUR LAB RESULTS BELOW THIS LINE]Why this prompt works:
Most lab reports tell you if you're "normal" or "abnormal." But "normal" ranges are based on population averages , not optimal health.
This prompt forces the AI to:
Use functional medicine ranges (tighter, optimized for longevity)
Identify patterns across markers, not just isolated readings
Create actionable next steps, not generic advice
Generate specific questions to bring to your doctor
Pretty Minds Food For Thought 🧠: AI in healthcare isn't about replacing your doctor. It's about showing up to appointments as a more informed patient with better questions, clearer goals, and a framework for understanding your own data.
🫖 Google's Agentic Commerce Play - AI That Shops For You
What happened: Google announced a new Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) Framework: AI agents that can browse, compare, and purchase for you.
The signal I'm watching:
Fashion tech innovation in a time when high fashion and luxury retailers are in trouble.
Google is partnering with retailers to build the infrastructure for agentic commerce, AI that doesn't just recommend products, but completes transactions.
This is the infrastructure story I'm not seeing enough #fashiontech people talking about.
Why it matters:
For consumers: Your AI assistant could handle routine shopping (groceries, replenishments, gifts) without your direct input
For retailers: The interface layer is shifting. If customers interact with AI agents, not websites, the whole e-commerce playbook changes.
For creators: I can't wait to build a fly fashion app with this 💅🏾
As soon as I master the skill, I’m going to be building agents for Black online beauty, femtech, wellness and fashion brands.
Dream clients: Amina Iris, Topicals, 54 Thrones ( I can go on….. I’ll share my concept builds real soon)
This is early. But it's the kind of early that becomes obvious in hindsight.

🫖 Slackbot Is an Agent Now
What happened: Slack rolled out a completely rebuilt Slackbot that can find information across connected apps, draft emails, and schedule meetings, all without leaving Slack.
The signal I'm watching:
The pattern is clear: AI is embedding into the tools you already use.
Claude Code in Slack. Gemini in Google Workspace. Now, Slackbot as an autonomous agent.
The AI assistant isn't a separate app you go to. It's a layer that lives inside your existing workflow.
Business+ and Enterprise+ customers. No new downloads required. Watch it in action here.
✊🏾 Black Innovation Spotlight
Black innovation gets the luxury editorial treatment it always deserved.
The Signal: Black Founders Are Deploying AI Where It Matters Most
Black entrepreneurs are showing out with AI being deployed across verticals that mainstream tech often ignores: healthcare, education, fintech, sustainability, and consumer personalization. Eight Black entrepreneurs to watch now.
Here's who I'm watching:
Candace Mitchell / MyAvana AI-powered beauty tech using machine learning for personalized hair care insights. Solving the textured hair gap that mainstream beauty tech keeps missing.
Signvrse / Terp 360 African startup with Black leadership building AI-powered sign language translation. Real-time AI combined with 3D avatars to expand accessibility for the deaf community.
Yinka Iyinolakan / CDIAL.AI Innovating with AI models tailored for indigenous languages — addressing gaps in digital representation and localized AI utility across Africa.
The Ecosystem: Where the Support Lives
Black in AI continues expanding its reach in research, policy advocacy, and entrepreneurship support — building infrastructure that directly serves Black AI researchers and builders.
Black Founders Network (BFN) remains a key inclusive community connecting founders to mentorship, capital access, and entrepreneurial resources across venture stages.
DMZ Black Innovation Summit awarded a record ~$400K in funding to Black-led startups in late 2025 — showcasing expanding capital flows into underrepresented founder ventures.
The wins are real. So are the gaps.
But long-standing funding inequities persist. Historical analysis shows Black founders receive a disproportionately small share of venture capital relative to the value they deliver.
The pattern: Black innovation isn't waiting for permission. But the ecosystem still has work to do.
I’ve always said AI will be the great equalizer for us.

The New AI CopyWriting Guidelines
The Reddit community is doing the Lord's work.
A viral post this week catalogued the new giveaways that AI-generated content keeps producing. The em dash epidemic is fading, but new patterns are emerging.
The new tells to watch for:
"And honestly?" as a sentence starter — usually followed by something that isn't that crazy honest
Therapist mode talk: "You're not imagining it" / "You're not alone" / "You're not broken"
Forced depth: "Do you want to sit with that for a while?" / "Are you ready to go deeper?"
Hype signposting: "Here's the kicker" / "And the best part?" / "Here's the part most people miss"
Compulsive clarity: "I'm going to state this as clearly as possible" — followed by 600 words that could have been 2 sentences
The breakdown: "Here's the breakdown:" (every. single. time.)
Everything "quiet": "Quiet truth," "quiet confidence," "quietly growing," "quiet rebellion"
Forced reassurance after pushback: "You're right to push back on that"
Metaphors that don't fit: Odd comparisons that sound smart but feel slightly off

If you're using AI to write, you need to develop an eye for these patterns and edit them out.
The goal isn't to hide that you use AI. The goal is to make sure your voice comes through, not the model's default patterns.

[ New Unlock ] WORKFLOW OF THE WEEK
The Use Case: You have a job interview coming up and you want to show up prepared not just rehearsed, but strategically ready.
The Stack: Claude (or ChatGPT)
The Thinking: Most interview prep focuses on memorizing answers. But the candidates who win are the ones who've anticipated the conversation, who've mapped their experience to the job's actual needs and practiced thinking on their feet, not reciting scripts.
This workflow treats interview prep like a corporate athlete preparing for competition: scout the opponent, build a playbook, simulate the arena.
Try It This Week:
Scout: Paste the job description into Claude/Chat GPT. Ask: "What are the 5 core competencies this role requires? For each one, what's the likely interview question they'll ask to test it?"
Map: For each competency, draft a paragraph that connects your experience to their need. Use metrics where possible. Ask Claude/ChatGPT: "Help me make this more specific and impactful."
Simulate: Ask Claude/ChatGPT to role-play as the interviewer. Have it ask you a question, give your response, then ask: "Give me Olympic-level feedback on what would make this answer more natural and compelling?"
Stress-test: Ask Claude/ChatGPT: "What's the hardest question you could ask me based on my background and this role? Now ask it."
Pretty Minds Food For Thought: AI is most powerful when it helps you simulate high-stakes situations before you're in them. The goal isn't to generate perfect answers; it's to build the muscle memory of thinking clearly under pressure.
💬 PROMPT OF THE WEEK — The Interview Olympian Coach
This metaprompt transforms AI into a high-performance interview coach. It integrates STAR frameworks, research strategies, and strategic questioning from my book “ Interview Like An Olympian”

Your tone is empowering, strategic, and high-energy.
**Your Frameworks:**
1. **The Playbook Method:** Map every bullet point of the Job Description to specific, metric-backed examples from the candidate's experience.
2. **The 5 Power Scripts:**
- *The Superpower Script:* STAR stories for leadership/innovation
- *The Initiator:* Reframing setbacks into growth
- *The Redemption Arc:* Turning technical work into business impact
- *The Team MVP:* Mapping past roles to company values
- *The 'Any Questions' Flip:* Strategic questioning based on market position
3. **The Intelligence Strategy:** Using earnings calls, press releases, and conversations with former employees to gain insider knowledge.
**Instructions:**
1. **Phase 1: Scouting.** Ask for the Job Description and Resume/Bio.
2. **Phase 2: The Playbook.** For every key responsibility, help draft metric-backed paragraphs.
3. **Phase 3: Scripting.** Apply the 5 Power Scripts to ensure high-impact stories are ready.
4. **Phase 4: Simulation.** Role-play as interviewer. Ask questions, wait for responses, provide "Interview Like An Olympian" style feedback."
**Style:**
- Always encourage practicing out loud ("Simulate the Arena")
- If the company is public, suggest analyzing an earnings call transcript
- Provide LinkedIn DM scripts for informational interviews with former employees
**Begin with:**
"Welcome to the corpoate atheltics. I am your Interview Like Olympian Coach. We don't just 'know our stuff' here,we create a strategy to dominate. To build your winning Playbook, I need two things: The Job Description and your current Resume/Bio. Once you provide those, we begin training."How to use this:
Paste the prompt into a new chat
Follow the Coach's lead, it will guide you through each phase
Practice your answers out loud, not just in your head
Why this works: The prompt establishes a clear methodology, role, and progression. It doesn't just answer questions — it coaches you through a process.
